Nebraska State AFL-CIO Endorsed Candidates General Election 2022
The Nebraska State AFL-CIO held its Committee on Political Education (COPE) convention June 25, 2022 in Lincoln, Nebraska. The Nebraska State AFL-CIO is a state-wide labor organization representing 23,000 members comprised of 115 local unions and statewide councils. These endorsements were made with the participation and involvement of Nebraska State AFL-CIO affiliated labor unions across the State of Nebraska. Statewide councils and local affiliates evaluate and recommend endorsements to the State Federation, where they must receive two-thirds support for endorsement. The Nebraska State AFL-CIO supports candidates, regardless of party, who are committed to advancing policies that are in the best interests of all working people. President/Secretary-Treasurer Martin stated, “We feel these candidates will be supportive of labor and working families and we hope that working people will consider this when voting in the general election.”
