Core Federation Mission

The mission of the AFL-CIO is to improve the lives of working families—to bring economic justice to the workplace and social justice to our state and the nation. To accomplish this mission, we work to:

  • Organize & Grow: Build a broad movement of Nebraska workers by helping workers join and form unions.
  • Bargain with Strength: Support workers as they bargain with employers to improve their living conditions, pay, and workplace safety.
  • Advocate for Working Families: Strengthen the voice of working families at all levels of government and throughout our state's economy.
